If walking to the shops matters to you, check the actual route from a property. Distance on a map doesn’t always tell you how convenient the journey will feel.

For buyers with children or dogs, these spaces can become part of everyday life. It’s worth exploring the walking routes from any home you’re considering, rather than judging proximity by driving distance alone.

When moving to a new area, finding the right club or activity can be just as useful as finding the nearest supermarket. Think about what you enjoy now and how you would continue it locally.
