Whilst always villages, they were physically separated from Reading, in 1971 with the introduction of the M4, Shinfield is a fast growing and increasing popular village to reside. Soon to have that added glamour of Hollywood, with eighteen state of the art sound and film studios, being completed in the nearby Thames Valley Science Park, which has already seen one Hollywood blockbuster filmed there.
